All of our 24 members ageing between 18 & 86 are all on our club facebook and messenger pages.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.

Was there a way of finding out what the proposals were with explanations anywhere ? I guess there was somewhere and I missed it I imagine

here are some statistics published in July 2024 relating to our elder population and their usage of the Internet.

81% of over 75's and over in the UK use the Internet
91% of people 64 to 75 in the UK use the Internet.

Your barrier to change simply doesn't stack up.

In my club of 14 lofts
5 have no internet and another in partnership needs his son to do it
It could be our club is below the national averages
Looks that way but but I'm sure that among the 9 who do have Internet one of them would help the other 5 carry out simple transactions online. In most, the club sec would do it. No different to he or she doing it but completing a paper based document and posting along with a cheque. The point is a minority not having access is no basis to withhold what some may see as progress and certainly progress towards reducing costs.

There have been links to videos posted on this thread. The 'RPRA' conveniently missed out a vital part of the proposition in its publication when they published it.

I didn’t see them to be honest as I normally just get into the racing pigeon topics on here but then this would only get a small amount seeing it
Just thinking how would people know how to vote ?
Most of my club didn’t have a clue what it was about I can’t think of anyone at the meeting that had a full explanation of any of it in spoken or written form

It's an obvious weekeness in the process which is why myself and a couple of others chose to do videos to explain the proposals. Some on here saw that as collusion lol The RPRA could certainly do better at publicising the proposals and explaining. I will post links on here again shortly but I warn you in advance that you will need a couple of hours spare.

To be honest it’s my fault to have missed them on here and to late now as we voted
But like you say if it’s not set out on the proposals I can’t see how anyone can vote for change as how do you vote for something you don’t know
I’m pretty sure none of my club are on here here regular either if at all
That could be the issue when the votes are in

Unfortunately to late for us but I should have checked this thread a long time back before the club had the meeting in early February

Yeah to late but to be fair we did concentrate on pushing this via you tube and Facebook as that's where a larger proportion of fanciers can be reached.
