Of course Trev we had 2 very good fanciers back in the day at Worthing. Jed Jackson who was blind and Bob Short who only had one hand. Both won loads and both had great control over their birds. Also of course that was in the days of rubbers and no ETS. So both had to catch their pigeons remove the rubbers and clock them.Trev wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 3:00 pmI imagine it must mate, but you have obviously adapted well![]()

Life in St Arnaud
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.
Yes we did Andy, and of course Jed continued with pigeons into his 90s, and Bob has been in and out of the sport over the years, but does still have pigeons well into his 80s.Andy wrote: ↑Fri Feb 28, 2025 5:56 pmOf course Trev we had 2 very good fanciers back in the day at Worthing. I Threw away a lot of the old perches when we moved. I got a heap of plastic perches on line from China for about Au$2.00 each. About a quid.
Delivery in about 5 days!
I have put them all over the loft so there are tons of perches.

Thanks for that info, Buster. They do seem pretty light. They will do the job while i get some timber and build some more box perches.

Some have broken just with birds landing on them others when scraping them
Sadies Lofts home of decent birds just a useless loft manager, and now a confirmed loser but proud

I tried them couldn’t get on with them mine seemed more for rollers as they are smaller than my others
I screwed wood to them to make the perch a big larger then done away with them altogether and just made stud perches for the hens
