What do you prefer for form early in the season

You are like me, I believe, you don't have electric at your loft?
I think both light and heat are important. Pigeons respond to the seasons, after "sleeping" though the shortest months the hormones are triggered by the lengthening days, and they start to come alive again. If you can use lights to make the days longer you can speed this up.
Heat I think is tricky. You can make them come into form very quickly if the loft is too warm, and of course they are like a torch. You can only switch them on and off so many times before the battery goes flat. They can only stay in form for so long.
Using warmth to keep the loft dryer is a different thing. The pigeons will come into form easier and have fewer health problems if they are in a dryer loft with lower humidity. I know this from experience. Here in southern Oz the pigeons are naturally very vital and healthy in the dry and warm climate. Up north in the tropics they have constant issues with disease caused by the constant wet.
Greetings from the land down under. :D
