I had a dog that had a trial at St Helens dog track, 3 dog trial. It broke the track record sprint, I took it to Bolton greyhound track the following week, It won a big open race. Did well across the board, nice paying night.

And while the woke left are rampant in their crusade to remove what fun they can in New Zealand and Europe, in Australia there is a brand new state of the art Greyhound track. :D
Very good too!

Traveling to open races up an down the country, I done this for a few years, A really good sport being a trainer of your own greyhounds. I also raced them under NGRC at Belle vue Manchester, trips over to Ireland going to trials looking for some top grade pups. Sorry to say another sport gone, but great memories.
Unfortunately, as I said on the last post about Greyhound racing, we are our own worst enemies really.
It's not the racing that's the issue, its the cruelty that some people use in training these beautiful creatures, how those that don't make the grade are treated, and what happens to even the champions once they can no longer race. That is what needs to be looked at.

I have to agree with you Trev.
In all the racing sports there are people who should not be allowed to keep animals. And they damage it for the many who are totally committed to the welfare of them.
Trouble is, once again the animal rights leftists have no off switch. If they eliminate dog racing they will start the next crusade, which could very well be us.
We have to be squeaky clean.

I agree Muzza, they will never stop, they will always find something to protest against. Unfortunately alot of what they say is absolute nonsense or completely fabricated.
