Many moons ago in New Zealand, I used to pick stinging nettle and make a tea with it for the widowers the day after the race.
They seemed to like it, but I have no idea if it did them any good. I was worried about giving them medications out of a bottle when they were winning. The old "If it aint broke, don't fix it" thing.
I have a nice small team going very well again, and there's a fair bit of nettle around the place. So I've been thinking about it.
Does anyone use nettle tea, either using fresh nettle from the garden or dried out of a packet?
And what are the benefits?
Greetings from the land down under. :D

I always used Eucalyptus in the water, its a anti-inflammatory and mucas-relieving for humans. So for the birds it is good for the respiratory tract, I boiled the the leaves for 12 minutes. Let the water cool, then put the water in the drinker.
