Which shows the love and respect held for Her Majesty.
The 'progressive' left both here and in the UK think that the Monarchy is finished. Nothing could be further from the truth. Charles is making a terrific start to his reign, and William and Kate are superb heirs to the throne.
the Labor government in Australia have firmly put the question of a republic at the bottom of the list. They know that if it went to the vote again, it would be thrown out again.
King Charles and the rest of the royal family are making a great job of all their duties, especially considering this is also their mother or grandmother. I admire them. The whole thing is being run so very well. The public in the queues all seem in good spirit despite the cold night and long length of waiting. Monday is going to be a somber and very moving day but also going to be a real spectacle.
As I said in the heading of this post “Nobody does it like we do”.
God bless the queen and long live the king.
Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.
As has been said during some of the saddest days of their lives the Royal family have been incredible and have presented themselves impeccably, I have nothing but complete respect and admiration for them. The forces have also been amazing and on the whole the general public have been very well represented too, unfortunately you also get those few idiots who have to get involved and I did hear something this morning that someone pushed a seven year old girl out of the queue and tried to get to the coffin !!! Don't know the full details of that though.
As you say Andy, "God bless the Queen and God Save the King"

the only thing that spoiled for me was seeing prince Andrew the forces done us proud
George for what it's worth Andrew was there to mourn his mother and say goodbye, as for his other things that happened in this country then no offence was committed just a dirty old man taking advantage of a young girl whilst I do not support his actions in the eyes of the law he is innocent, finally if it had of been me or you nothing would have been said as none of all her other clients named and shamed why is that George? one thing MONEY, not having a go mate just highlighting the facts we will all have differing opinions
Sadies Lofts home of decent birds just a useless loft manager, and now a confirmed loser but proud
There were many highlights to the day, some very sad and moving. Seeing the queens horse and corgis was one. But I think the most heartbreaking moment was when they removed the sphere, septa and crown from the coffin signalling the end of her duties. Then the laying of the cloth by King Charles and the breaking of the wand before the loan piper started up as the coffin was lowered into the vault. Finally seeing King Charles close to tears as they sung god save the king.
Certainly a day that I will remember for ever. Everyone involved done the country proud.
God save the King.
