There was a race from Noccundra in Queensland to Victoria over the weekend. It is advertised as a 700 mile race.
As results started coming in, most were 2019 and 2010 pigeons, and then a local flyer clocked a yearling, 2021 pigeon, to record 21st place from 1068 km. (663 miles).
Well done to Nick Keighran for winning races at 100 miles and 700 miles within a couple of weeks.

No, the race killer is in is over the ocean from Tasmania.
This race is from the north, from Queensland.
Both very testing, but the race from north at least has terra firma under them, the Tassie birds must cross a long stretch of open sea.
