What’s everyone’s personal aims for 2023?
Personally I’d like to have a decent yb season.
Obviously like to have good old bird season too.
Having topped Fed in 2022 be nice to do again in 2023
Aims for 2023
My aim is to send decent teams to the 3 classic races and hopefully get good results. I have a good team of 2 and 3 year olds that I would like to send to Thurso 523 miles. Yearlings to Hexham 269 miles.
Having joined Glastonbury I am also looking forward to enjoying some club racing.

Back just enjoying club racing for the time being.
My aims for 2023 have changed dramatically.
We have our house on the market, and when it sells we will be buying a smaller house and retiring. This has always been the plan.
It does mean that we have the garage full of furniture and stuff, waiting to move.
The pigeons are an issue. My good mate David runs a freight company, and will move us when we buy a house somewhere. He also kindly offered to board my pigeons at his place and help to dismantle, move and set up the lofts.
Some of the old stock pigeons won't be going, and I have started tossing the young birds. They will get some serious work as soon as they are all out of the moult. They will have to be sorted out and the best ones taken.
Hopefully they settle okay.

Greetings from the land down under.
Blessed is he who expecteth nothing, for verily, he shall not be disappointed.

I hope it all works out well for you mate, I know it will be very hard for you to say goodbye to some of your old faithfulsMurray wrote: ↑Sun Feb 19, 2023 9:49 pm My aims for 2023 have changed dramatically.

For me my aims are simple and to just enjoy the racing.
I race in a very strong club which has been hard to get a result in but I'm hopeful that getting out of this corridor racing and onto the North road I will achieve a bit more consistency and hopefully will at last get some of my birds up to 500 mile mark.
Looks nice Murray. Are you planning on moving well away from the area you live in now? It will be nice for you to retire, hope all goes well. I will be in the same boat when I retire. Not for a few years yet though. Because we own the shop and flat above freehold it would all have to be sold when we retire.
