I've noticed on the RPRA auto-transfer system that you can now only use the system if you are an RPRA member. The only way a non-RPRA member can now transfer an RPRA ring is by post. And the charge has shot up too £5, yes FIVE pounds per sheet (up to 6 birds)
So if you are a member of another UK Union and buy or are gifted a RPRA rung bird it will cost you £5 if you want to race it.

That is making things very hard for many people, King. Five pounds for up to 6 pigeons. So, if a beginner was to get, say 24 pigeons from another bloke, it would cost 20 quid to transfer them.

The way I read it Murray is that if an RPRA member gets say 24 pigeons from another RPRA member then they can still use the "in house" facility for free
Given the financial predicament that the RPRA are in it seems sensible to look at all avenues to increase revenue and I would support that.
