The birds on their way to Fraserburgh doesn't look like they'll get them away till Monday unless forecast changes. When will summer arrive?![]()

I quite agree mate, we do mollycoddle the birds these daysAnthony webster wrote: ↑Fri Jun 14, 2024 9:41 am There's showers both days but I'm sure you could race tomorrow but most feds are racing Sunday now ,the amount of rain they show in some areas if u sneeze there be more water, unless on the weather app its green then that's real rain all these blue marks on map are f all its like 0.1mm of rain If a pigeon refuses to race through that there bloody rubbish.
It's not as if it's a long race, we are only talking 108miles for crying out load
Well after a long debate on the federation group telegram this morning it's been decided that we leave things as they are and the birds will go when the conveyer and race controller think it's right to do so
I know everyone blames the cost on why they want to avoid holdovers, but it seems to me that the modern widowhood flier just doesn't want their birds in the basket for more than the one night !!

It is mate but sadly I'm not sure that the modern technology is any more accurate than the old methods !!!
You can look at several different apps and they all give you different answers

They pretty much got it right for Eastern Scotland today. Fraserburgh hold over due to low cloud and large bands of rain along flight path. Trouble is convoyers can’t win, if they put them up when there’s rain about and it’s a bad race they get vilified, if they delay basketing by a day and the weather turns out better than expected they equally vilified.Trev wrote: ↑Sat Jun 15, 2024 7:56 amIt is mate but sadly I'm not sure that the modern technology is any more accurate than the old methods !!!
