I have to agree Neil, £72.00 is nothing if it means keeping a check on your birds health. To me you can not put a price on something you love in life, and my birds meant a lot to me.NeilA wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 12:16 pm I had one Devo but I must admit never applied myself to it and couldn’t be arsed in the end
I look at it that £72 is not even £1.50 a week over the year and that way looks cheap plus it’s checked better than I could do
I do know that when people say they can see worms there not correct always or if they think they haven’t got canker just because there isn’t a great lump of yellow in the throat there wrong but people still think like that
Chlamydia treatment?
The fact that she is eating is a positive sign. I myself have never used testing. If it's serious you lose precious time waiting on the results. If it was my bird I'd give it a Röhnfried K + K tablet for 5 days. If that doesn't fix her, a course of Chevita chloramphenicol-NPeteDerby wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 10:34 pm Hi all
I’ve got a hen bird been struggling for a few weeks now. Hunched up, bit of weight loss but nothing in the mouth or throat, droppings look ok. I tried Gamba tabs and Tollisan Matrix in her water for 5 days, which seemed to be perking her up, but now she’s gone downhill again, getting occasional tremors and one of the eyes looks a bit ‘off’. She’s eating, had a bath a day or so back, but not recovering.
Looking at all the videos available Chlamydia looks like the most likely, but the water treatment clearly hasn’t done its job. Any ideas?

I think it’s best to have a test kit at home ready to use to save time as king says best to act quick

If I could have only one pigeon product, it would be these. They are made from readily digestible animal protein. This protein is extracted from top quality blood plasma. I've known fanciers have YBs flown so flown out, they thought the birds would die. In many cases one of these tablets is enough to save the bird. I used to give returning birds from a hard fly one.
I had an old hen go off which wasn't eating. Give her a few days on these tablets and she recovered without any medication.
The new tablets are now gold. I've only ever used the old silver coloured ones.

Röhnfrieds K+K tablets are a very solid product. I also use these for any bird that comes home late and doesn't get the amino acids and protein from the first drinker. Does absolute wonders for late returning birds and definitely saved me a few times the past 2 years since i been using it.king wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 4:56 pmWhat Neil the Röhnfried K + K tablets?NeilA wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 4:27 pmWhat do they treat or do King ?king wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 4:17 pm

Interesting Buster. She went down hill after a hen got into the nest box when she was sitting maybe 7 days and the ensuing fight smashed the eggs.Buster121 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 6:40 amNot egg bound is shePeteDerby wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2025 10:34 pm Hi all
