I don’t know where your getting these things from Pete you need to know what your giving mate as to much can be dangerous to little no good dont get caught up into bunging loads of stuff into them make sure its the right product at the correct dose
Best of luck with your bird
Thanks Neil. It was one of those ‘you need a bag of this just in case mate’ situations. I’m determined not to go down the antibiotic flock treatment route in any event, but if there’s something simple I can do to save a bird then of course I would, hence asking you guys.

I was thinking of buying a microscope and start doing more research, maybe go to night school if i can find a course. I think a good subject Neil.
A little bit of knowledge can be dangerous, Devo,
Be wary of microscopes. I know blokes who get so engrossed with peering at droppings they stop looking at the pigeons.....
So true Murray, daily observation tells you the story.

Hi all
I’ve got a hen bird been struggling for a few weeks now. Hunched up, bit of weight loss but nothing in the mouth or throat, droppings look ok. I tried Gamba tabs and Tollisan Matrix in her water for 5 days, which seemed to be perking her up, but now she’s gone downhill again, getting occasional tremors and one of the eyes looks a bit ‘off’. She’s eating, had a bath a day or so back, but not recovering.
Looking at all the videos available Chlamydia looks like the most likely, but the water treatment clearly hasn’t done its job. Any ideas?
The fact that she is eating is a positive sign. I myself have never used testing. If it's serious you lose precious time waiting on the results. If it was my bird I'd give it a Röhnfried K + K tablet for 5 days. If that doesn't fix her, a course of Chevita chloramphenicol-N
I see that K + K is 65 pc protein and comes in a protein powder form I may be looking at that for Saturdays King
