Devo's visit to Australia
Thanks Andy.
It has been a steep curve, but Devo has a strong desire to race pigeons where he can, and can see that there is a lot of competitive racing here, and I have some pigeons that compete at the top level.
So, we have formed a partnership, and we are both, as Devo says, "Well made up!"

Greetings from the land down under.
Blessed is he who expecteth nothing, for verily, he shall not be disappointed.

Suffice to say that Catherine was a little hesitant about a bloke we had never met. Now she is insisting he comes back to see us.![]()
We have had time to talk about pigeons, obviously. Devo has seen that the racing is very different. He's very observant, and a thinker.
Bit by bit we have become very much in agreement.
There are some extremely good pigeons in my shed. We shall extend the loft and breed youngsters for OLRs and special ring races. There is some money to be won.
From now on we will race as McPhie and Dever.

Good luck and very best wishes to you all, I hope your new venture is a successful one and as always, I look forward to following your progress.
Great to hear Devo, I'm pleased you've all had such a good time.Devo1956 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 29, 2025 3:44 am Things are really coming together in St Arnauld, Murray working away on the plans for the new loft extension. I have to say he knows his stuff, all plans drawn and materials ordered. It looks like a really good plan coming together, it as turned out to be a great trip. The welcome from Murray and Cathrine, made it all worth while. A long way I must say, but I have enjoyed every minute of my great venture.
As long as you are happy mate, that's what really countsMurray wrote: ↑Sat Mar 29, 2025 7:11 amNot even on the agenda, Buster.![]()
I have some new plans and a new direction, so I'll be fairly occupied for a minute.
Also Catherine will not travel that far, and we have become fairly much joined at the hip. We seldom go far way from each other any more. We had some adventures, but now we are very much home people.

All the very best.

Sadies Lofts home of decent birds just a useless loft manager, and now a confirmed loser but proud

Well coming to the last days of my trip, I will have to come back for longer. The 2 weeks went so fast, but what a time I have had. Spending time with Murray and Cathrine, was just like visiting family. I could not have asked for better company, daily chats about the birds. Also chats on all different topics. and visiting some nice places. The trips to see David Coxs loft was a memory in itself, and to come away with 2 top youngsters. From some of the best breeding lines in Australia, Joining some of the best breeding lines already in Murrays loft.
So Murray is going to be very busy when I travel home, it is going to be some project in the extension of loft now. I cant wait to see the end results, but I know this will be a very good 20 foot loft. With some of the best breeding lines, taking us forward in the sport.

So nice to see what a great time you all have had and wish you a safe journey back home at least the sun should be shining when you do get back
so you will think you are still there, looking forward to seeing things progress and wishing all the best with the venture
