This is a subject that i really think is important of the sport, over the years of being part of the sport. This subject not only observing the birds, but also people around birds.
Movement around the loft is a tell tale sign, it is a mirror image for the birds from you. Stay calm and don't grab at the birds, let the birds come to you. Sit down in the corner
of the loft, you will soon start picking up little things about your birds. Just remember every living thing, is an individual and we all have our different ways.
I like to stand back and observe, all tasks being carried out in the loft. How the birds perform while tasks are being carried out. Their reaction to every task being carried out,
a calm loft will always be a happy home for the birds. And routine plays a major part in racing pigeons, also a major part of your own life as the keeper.
So prepare well, take notes and plan ahead. you will find the bond with your birds will help. The partnership becomes much stronger.
