2023 Youngbirds Free
They are coming on well Buster. They are starting to fly well now. I have them out for an hour in the mornings and a couple of hours in the afternoons. I did lose one off the loft unfortunately the first time they went out. I had another 3 or 4 have a night out in the early days. I knew I couldn’t afford to keep them in to long as most were quite strong when they arrived. They were put in with my own youngsters, which were probably slightly younger, before opening the fronts up after being in there for 3 days. It is always a worry when any go out for the first few times whether they’re your own or from someone else.

Yes couple was bit stronger but that was down to yours being ready before Trev's and then all coming down to you together changed everything but well done on only losing one, was it the blue on by any chance?Andy wrote: ↑Wed May 24, 2023 8:01 am They are coming on well Buster. I know from other posts mine and yours did hatch around the same time as if memory serves me right you started ringing yours about a week after me
Sadies Lofts home of decent birds just a useless loft manager, and now a confirmed loser but proud

Yes mate. It was the blue pied with the bit of pied on its chest. It took off and I never saw it again. The eldest ones are starting to coo a bit now, losing the squeak, and have dropped their first flights. Yes mine were probably only about a week or so behind. They are all coming on nicely.Buster121 wrote: ↑Wed May 24, 2023 12:46 pmYes couple was bit stronger but that was down to yours being ready before Trev's and then all coming down to you together changed everything but well done on only losing one, was it the blue on by any chance?Andy wrote: ↑Wed May 24, 2023 8:01 am They are coming on well Buster. There is a plain blue that was a little bit scitty to start with. He does look one of the eldest. I think he had 2 nights out before eventually coming in. He is now quietening down nicely. I think it was probably just being in a strange loft. There is also a big chequer who is looking good. There is the chequer with a bit of pied in it and the Mealey, both had rings on for Trev, that are coming on nicely and are usually the first ones out.
